Finally a creation..........

Lately I just have NOT been inspired to make

cards!! I just don't have the space and eveyone

gives me a hard time when I drag it all out!

SO I have moved onto something else for now!

I got an invitation to pinterest and well I am

officially addicted!!! I have pinned so many projects

for me and hubby to make!! I have now vowed

to try and stay off until I have completed some!! LOL

So my first project is a washer/dryer stand. Our new

laundry room in Texas is super small and left little

room for anything other than my washer and dryer!!

Sorry for the bad shots but like I said the room is

small and this was the only angle!!

The hardest part was painting the words as I have

quite a shaky hand! Ideally I would have painted them with

the unit on its side but we needed to see if the stand

would work so I had to do it already set up!

I just had to show my sign as I LOVE it!! LOL

Lastly yesterday was my wonderful hubby's birthday!! He isn't the

biggest fan of cake so he always wants an apple pie!

(He also can never just sit and smile at the camera either!!

He has to either make some silly face or this and I thought

this was the best!!! LOL)

Good Morning!!!

I hope all of you are having a nice New Year so far!!

With the weather the way it is here, I keep thinking

it is the fall!! LOL The kids had such a long break

for Winter and it was warm when we went back so it is

throwing me off!!

Anyways I have been collecting a bunch of Krista's

Saturated Canary images and finally got a chance to use one.

I have NOT been in the mood for making any cards lately

but needed one for my SIL's birthday last week.

I love this sweet image, but they are all so cute, it was

so hard to choose which one!!!

When one season is over ~ I have to admit to having a hard time

changing papers!! LOL Seriously it takes me awhile!

I just don't like change that much! That is why I went with green

and red ~ which I never use but it was still fresh in my head!

First off I want to wish every one a

Happy and Healthy New Year!!!!

I can't believe it is that time already!!

Sorry I have been so quiet!! Life is just getting in

the way right now! Nothing bad just alot of

busyness!! Hopefully things settle down and I can

get in the swing of things!! BUT everytime I say

that things get worse!! haha

Anyways I see alot of ladies making a TOP 12 list

and decided since I haven't posted in awhile I should

do this as well!!! So here are my favorite 12 of 2011:

That is what I get for asking the girls to help!

Elphine House Challenge #12...White on White.......

Good Evening!!!

It is time for another challenge over at

Elphine House!!!!

I had fun with this one! I need to get moving on

Teacher's gifts so I pulled out one of the houses

I bought to put treats in and went to town! I just

kept adding and adding!! LOL

I LOVE the way it turned out but the none of the girls want

this one!! LOL They don't think it is Christmassy at all!!!

To keep in with the theme of Christmas I went with this adorable image!

AGAIN ~ I think I have used her 4 times already!! I just love

how versatile she is!!

I really wanted to stick with the white along with some neutrals ~

that is why I decided to do the cracked glass effect on a plain image

as opposed to coloring it. I would have had to use alot of colors

on this one.

Warning ~ LOTS OF PICTURES:

I used old organ music that I had laying around and of course

wouldn't you know the Christmas song I pick and put on the

roof has the bad word for donkey straight across the back of it!

I didn't even catch it ~ the girls we yelling at me!! hehe

So I had to cover it up with some snow.

I also added some tinsel glitter to the bells.

I got some really good cracks in this time!

The house was from Hobby Lobby, bells ~ eBay,

the felt snowflakes ~ WOJ die and the big

ribbon is from some towels that I bought.

The buttons are from my stash, lace is WOC and

the postage sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

Sorry it has been forever since I have blogged! It is

only getting worse instead of better!!

AND with Christmas right around the corner I am finding it

harder and harder to find time to make cards! This will be

the second year in a row I can't send them! How bad is that???

Dreaming of a White Christmas......

...and that is as close as I will get to a White Christmas!! LOL

Anyways Good Morning!!!

This week over at Teddy Bo the challenge is:

White Christmas!

So we want to see your interpretation of what

a white christmas is to you!

I have played along with the fab sketch from Christmas challenges.

Here is what I came up with:

I have had this image printed off forever and finally

got a chance to use her ~ perfect for this challenge!

She was colored with distress inks and the background

is twinkling h20's. Stickles cover the snowflake and swirls.

I used my cuttlebug to make my embossed background. The bells

are silver ones from Hobby Lobby that I spray painted with white

matte finish spray paint. Of course I couldn't not add some

crackle distress paint in Picket Fence.

This fortnight's challenge is a photo inspiration and I have

used it to make a Thank you card for my mom for her

help with Thanksgiving. I couldn't have done it without her!

I get nervous when I have to use a bunch of brighter colors

but after awhile it started to grow on me! Not sure I will

do it all the time though! LOL

Teddy Bo ~ Catch a Falling Star....

Good Afternoon!!!
Today I have a new image to show you
called "Catch a Falling Star".
I just adore this image and she is perfect for
Christmas or not!! LOL Love that!

I have played along with the sketch over at
Stamp with Fun.

I was looking through all my Christmas papers from last year

and came across some of the Webster's Pages. I loved that

line last year but I am not a fan of many lines this year!!!

Maybe that is why my mojo got up and left me!! LOL

No new papers in forever!!!!

Here is a close-up of the colored image!

It was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.

The sentiment is computer generated and is from the

Christmas song..Away in a Manger.

Angel's Grace......

Good Afternoon!

Today I have one of the new

Belles and Whistles stamps to show you!

(Did you see all of them???? So CUTE!!!!)

I have been seeing this paper latterns around blogland

and wanted to try one out! So I have used my new

Angel's Grace image for it! She was perfect!

I think she is absolutely beautiful! I used alot of white

and glitter! I didn't get a pic at night but I am hoping

the glitter shimmers everywhere!!!

Sorry I cannot find the tutorial anywhere!! I must have just followed

the tutorial with it on my screen while I made it!! It is pretty easy though.

Make 2 papers 8x6.5 and the other two 8x5.5. Score

the thinner ones at .5 on each side. That is what you glue the edges

together with. You can punch out any design that you want!

The bottom is 7.5 x 5.5 and you score all edges at .5 and

make a bottom lid. Easy peasy! Then decorate as you wish!

My image was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.

I added glitter pen to her lantern and snowflake.

I am also going to be playing along with the challenge that

Belles and Whistles has going on now..

ANYTHING GOES.

Teddy Bo Tuesday ~ Pastels!

Good Morning! (Or Afternoon)

It is Tuesday again and it is time for

another challenge over at Teddy Bo!

This fortnight we are asking you to use Pastels!

I decided to try a side-step card and thought this image

worked perfectly as the sign is pointing into the trees!

I have used Tim Holtz paper for this one! I love that

pad and I think this is the first I have used it!!!!

Image was colored with distress inks and smuthered in

distress crackle paint and snow-tex.

Christmas Bo Elf......

Good Morning!!

Oh what a week it has been! I can't wait until it is over!!

My eyes feel like they have been crossed all week!! LOL

Anyways I have managed to make a Christmas card

using one of the new images from Teddy Bo!

I just adore this one ~ Christmas Bo Elf.

He was a joy to color and I had such a fun time making this one up!

I followed the sketch from CLP and added

buttons for the Whimsy Inspiration challenge!

Bo was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.

I had to do him up more vintagey. I had fun adding

more and more stuff. I found a bunch of stamps that I

haven't used and forgot I had. For a bronzey look I

colored with Brushed Corduroy and then went over it with

my glitter pen.

Teddy Bo Tuesday .....

Good Morning!!

First off I want to really apologize for being

so quiet lately!! I have to admit that I am having a

hard time adjusting to Texas!!!

SO....I decided it was time to step down from some

DT's for now so I can get myself acquainted better

for me and my family. I thank Belles and Whistles

and Elisabeth Bell so much for letting me be apart of

their teams for awhile ~ I loved being a part of them :)

Right, now it is Teddy Bo tuesday and you all know that means

new releases!!! They are just adorable week after week!

I was too busy to print one out so I went ahead and made a card with

one from last week that I started and didn't get finished!!!

(Seems to be my MO lately!!!)

Isn't he just the sweetest thing!!! Oh I just fell in love with him!

He was colored with distress inks, (Aged Mahogany, Old Paper, Brushed cord)

My better shot! I am thinking this one comes out nicer as it isn't

in the complete sun! If the card is standing I have to take out

in the sunlight and it gets too much but if I lay it down I

can take it from the patio!

Favorite Color Combo.....

I have finally finished my card for the

A Shabby Chic Teddy Bo tutorial.....

I know some have a hard time with the term Shabby chic!

I am NOT an expert so this is my interpretation of what I think

Shabby Chic is!

By definition it is a form of interior design where furniture and
furnishings are either chosen for their age and signs of wear
and tear or new items are distressed to achieve the appearance of
an antique. At the same time, a soft, minimalistic, and feminine feel is
emphasized to differentiate it from regular vintage decor; hence the

"chic" in the name. Whites and worn or bleaches out pastels are
favorite colours. Usually alot of flowers too!
(But I used snowflakes instead!)

Right now I take that to be LOTS and LOTs of white on white

and cracked paint and loads of fabric and texture! Oh and a

touch of glitter!!!That is how I like to do it!

So the things I use to achieve my look are:

~FLAT or MATTE finish White Spray Paint (Thanks to Minna)

~Picket Fence Distress Crackle Paint

~DecoArt Snow-Tex

~Martha Stewart Coarse Fine Glitter

~loads of cheesecloth, lace, seam binding and felt (All in white!)

Here is my card after I have picked out the papers that I want to use:

First thing I do is give my papers a light coating of spray paint,

you don't want to overdo it but just until you like the results.

I also like spraying all my fabrics too as it gives them a nice

flat finish and it also stiffens them up alittle so applying the

crackle paint down the road is a little easier.

Next I run the crackle paint down the edges of the papers, I leave a nice

thick brush so that I get alot on my edges. You don't have to

do it any certain way and really the less careful you are the

better it looks! Really!!!

Also the thicker the paint ~ the bigger and better the cracks!!!

You can decide what edges you want the paint to be on. I usually put a healthy

dose on my dp and a light coat on my kraft base card:

Then I also added some to my diecuts. I wanted the kraft one to

be completely covered in white, because it is behind the

lighter one, so I just painted it on and placed it in a clear spot:

When all the crackle paint dries, which here in Texas literally takes minutes,

I add my mix of crackle paint, water and snow-tex. I just

made this mixture to my liking and put it in an old crackle paint

jar because I like the built in brush. Here is what it looks like:

Then again I run it over my papers just like the crackle paint. I

tend to do it in spots as opposed to all over because

I want the crackle paint to show:

While that is a little white I added the glitter where I want it.

I added it to all the individual snowflakes and the large

white layer in the back:

When it all dries put your card together!!! Don't forget to

throw in all your fabrics and what not!!!!

Isn't this image just adorable!! I love it and it makes me want

to go and jump in the snow!!!

Good Afternoon!

I hope you are all having a nice

day so far! I just had to go and help

out at school and forgot I didn't post this!!

Anyways here is one of the new images from

Teddy Bo! She is called "I heart you so much" and

I think she can be used for just about anything!

I have used her to make a Christmas card!

I forgot a picture of the pull out tag but it reads

"All hearts come home for Christmas".

I have colored with distress inks:

bear ~ brushed corduroy

dress ~ Aged Mahogany

and twinkling h20's:

bear ~ Golden Sand

dress ~ Jasper Red

I also added some Stardust stickles

to her hat and boot trim.

I also added some distress crackle paint to the house, little

heart tag and the ends of the cinnamon sticks.

Happiness.....

Good Morning!!

Well I will tell you what happiness is:

We got rain yesterday!!!! WHohoo!!

I know usually no one wants rain but here in Texas

it is truly a miracle!! We are like 20 inches

below normal! Not sure that the rain yesterday

put a dent in anything but I am sure it cooled off

all the cows and horses!

Anyways my card today features Little Rapunzel!

She is adorable and can be found here in Elisabeth's

digi image collection.

Because of the rain I couldn't get a great picture but

the last is the truest look of the actual card:

I have followed the sketch from Pink {Ink}.

Here you can see the twinkling h20's but they are not

that sparkly in real life. Here the sun must have peeked out

for a second! I added white paint to her flowers.

And here is the shot I was talking about! For some reason

it is always my best shot and wish I could just put

these up here!! LOL

Elisabeth Bells September Digi Blog Hop.......

Good Morning!!!

Welcome to the September digi blog hop!!!

This month Elisabeth has drawn a very special image

for Lynda as it was her birthday! (Yesterday actually!!)

So the new cutie is called "Lil' Lynda's Piano Forte".

You should have come here from Alethea's blog, if

not you can go and start at the birthday girl's blog here.

I knew what to do with this cutie as soon as I seen her!

Rachel, my baby, is having a birthday soon!

She has recently acquired a CD player and her and her older sister

are always fighting over this particular CD that I made up

forever ago! SOOOO..... I thought this would be cute to

hold the new CD in it and her sister could give it to her

for her birthday!!! (And she will love it more than anything else I am sure!)

I had to use yellows, oranges and turquoise as they are her favorite at the mo.

The image was colored with distress inks and twinling h20's.

I added some dots with white paint.

The music notes were cut from my cuttlebug dies and

I added a bunch of glitter to them.

The ribbon with the flowers just slides off! I needed

something to keep it closed or trust me it would

fall out and get lost! That is just how

Rachel is! LOL

Teddy Bo Tuesday .....

Good Morning!!

I hope our all having a great

start to your week!

Well it is Teddy Bo Tuesday today!!

If your craving a few good Autumn images

Gayle has drawn some up this week!

They are so cute!! (To see them all in

action you can head to the blog to see the rest

of the "A" team's creations.) Here is what I did:

I have played along with the sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
WOW was it ever hard for me to use these colors! LOL

And did you notice no distress crackle paint!! Instead I ran my

paper through my cuttlebug and then sanded it. The mat for the dp

was crinkled up and then sanded. I think distressing that

way suits Autumn better. I also put vintage photo around the edges.

You can see on the sign and the leaves I have added some

crackle effect to it. Image was colored with distress inks

and twinkling h20's! The leaves are just an old book page.

I am not sure about the paper ~ it was a piece of scrap that I have had for

awhile but I am guessing it is MME.

DT call to replace some lovely ladies that had to step down.

It's Cuddle Time....

Good Morning! (I hope!)

I know I am late with this one as it started

yesterday!! I have been all tied up with

kids and worrying about Mother Nature!!

(She is just so upset about something this year! LOL)

Anyways over at Elphine House we have a new

challenge!!! It is cuddle time!

You will have two weeks to come up with something

and you can use ANY Elisabeth Bell image!!

We would love to stop by and see all your creations!!

Here is my take on the theme:

I got this adorable sentiment from Create with TLC and thought

it worked great with this image! AND I had to

throw in a bunch of stars!! (Don't look at my buttons

as the glue didn't dry when I took the pic!)

Teddy Bo Tuesday......

Good Morning!

It is Tuesday yet again!

Doesn't it seem like they just fly by????

Anyways the new challenge over at Teddy BO

is a nice and easy one ~ Say it with Flowers!!!

We would love to see flowers on your creation!!

That means on your papers, image....whatever!

I have used the adorable new image called Love Dove....

I have also played along with a challenge that is new to me

called Tip Top Tuesday! They want you to do Shabby Chic

or tell what you think it is! Well you know I think it is HEAVEN!

LOL I would say it is a mix of pastels and whites. A flowery

romantic lacey beautiful mix of elements with a smidgen of grunge!

My image was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.

I added some distress crackle paint to the bird pole.

I made the flowers with a mixture of the EK sucess retro flower punch,

MS hydrangea and MFT rose die. I then added some distress

paint to the edges. The other flowers are from WOC.

The gorgeous papers are from The Scrap Cake and are

called Bright Side of Life. They are gorgeous!!!!

I also participated in a challenge with The Flying Unicorn which

is Fabulous Flowers. We needed to use 9 or more on our

project.

Ok then here are the new images that are out this

week!! Adorable aren't they? Like I had to ask!!!

Tilda has finally come out to play.....

Good Morning!!!

Did everyone see the tutorial over at Stampartic?

I DID and I have been waiting for it

for along time!! haha The first time I seen Minna's

cards I thought "How does she do that?" Well now

we all know!!! (Thank you so much Minna!!!!)

Anyways I had to try it out first thing and I thought

Tilda would work beautifully!!! I can't believe

it has been almost 6 months since I have used a Magnolia image!

Although I need alot more practice with the spray paint I had

a lot of fun. The kids came home from school and right

away were like Mom really ~ now your using white

spray paint on your cards??? LOL

Anyways I have played along with MDU ~ which is Texture

and also I played along with Just Magnolia's Bingo board and I

went with the Flowers, ribbons and lace and gems row.

My image was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.

I masked Tilda and spray painted the stamped background ~

didn't quite come out like I thought and I was going to go

over the image lightly with the spray but I chickened out! haha

Here are a couple good "texture" shots. The matte spray

paint actually leaves a nice texture on the card!!

AND you spray so lightly you don't notice a spray paint smell!

(That is what I was concerned about when I started!)

The flowers got quite a healthy dose of layers. First was the paint

and then some crackle paint and last some Sno-tex.

Belles and Whistles Challenge......

Good Morning!!

It is time for another challenge over at

Belles and Whistles!!

It is the lovely Anki turn and she made us a

fabulous sketch with a twist ~ to use your favorite shape!

Here is my take on her sketch:

I needed to make my God daughter a card for her 12th birthday

and I just LOVE this sweet image so I of course had to

use her. I also got this gorgeous paper the other day

and couldn't pass it up either! It is from Prima and it is called

Pixie Glen ~ every page is drool worthy ~ seriously!

Anyway here is a close up ~ colored with distress inks and

twinkling h20's!

Here is my color shot! I used a ton of cheesecloth and butterflies!

I FINALLY got one of the MFT rose diecuts and I just

LOVE it ~ especially with felt!

Good Morning!

I finally found some time to play along with

the fabulous sketch at the CLP challenge!

As you can tell once I started adding stuff I could not stop! LOL

I made it as a topper for a mirror for my daughter's locker.

She just entered 4th grade and finally got a locker so she

is so excited!! The adorable image is from Wee Stamps.

The image was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.

I had to use a little red again as I am finally getting the hang of it.

The bucket was colored with a glitter pen.

I Scream, you scream.......

We all scream for Ice Cream......

Well that is the new challenge at

Elphine House!!!

(We want to see ice cream somewhere in your creation!)

Well Elphine House has 1 image, Tell Tale Ice Cream,

that has ice cream and I used him last challenge!! (OOPS)

So I racked my brain and until I came up with this:

So I just took his ice cream and gave it to this sweet little gal!

I just cut out her presents and voila ~ an ice cream image!

I have followed the gorgeous sketch from Pink {Ink} Sketch

challenge. I had fun playing with this one! I made the house

boards with paper and just inked the edges.

I just got this gorgeous paper and wanted to make something

else with it so I made this ice cream to go with it!

I would love curtains like this for my daughters' rooms!

I weaved the cone to kinda match the house boards in the card!

I added glitter to the top layer of ice cream too!

Teddy Bo Tuesday...

Good Evening!

Well today is Tuesday which means another

release and challenge at Teddy Bo!

The challenge this week is to use

Black, white and another color!

It isn't my team's turn to post this week but I made a

Teddy Bo card anyways! (But not for the challenge LOL)

I had a sketch I wanted to follow and I just had to use

this cutie called Sweet Little Angel.

She is so sweet and easy to color so I can see mass producing her

for alot of my Christmas cards!! She has been colored with twinkling h20's.

I inked the edges with vintage photo and then went over the

paper with crackle paint!

Sweetie Pie....

Good Evening!

This afternoon I took some time to just play!

I find when I create for fun I always reach for Mo

Manning's images!! I look at them for ages not

being able to play so when I get a chance I go for it!

Anyways I got this image called "For Teacher Girl"

a couple weeks ago and finally got her colored up!

I am not a big fan of using red, as you may notice, but

I thought this paper worked perfect with the image so I

took a nose dive into it!! LOL Usually working with

red is just a disaster for me but I realized that if I go over

it with twinkling h20's it doesn't run so easily :)

I used aged mahogany and then Jasper red twinkling h20's on top.

Here is my close-up:

This picture depicts the color better! It was very sunny out side

and a little tough to get a good picture.

I just got this new paper and had to use it!! I think

it works nicely as it is kinda romantic looking and

crackle distress paint in Picket Fence.

Teddy Bo Tuesday ~ New Releases......

Good Morning!!!

Today is another fabulous release day at Teddy Bo

and the new "scratchy" style is too cute for words!!

I have decided to use TeddyBo_123 also called

Baby Bo and Trains. I decided to make a

Christmas card with him:

I have colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.

I finally like my red this time!! LOL Usually I hate

using it because it runs or turns out different but I used

many layers to get my result! First I started with Fired Brick and

then used some aged mahogany. After that I added some

Poppy red twinkling h20's to it and I think they prevented it from

running! I will have to remember that next time!

I masked my image and stamped some script over the time. I

really like the way it turned out. I painted a gingham pattern into

the blanket but it didn't come out like I wanted! haha

Pink Ink Sketch Challenge!! It was a lovely one to work with!

Hello!!

It is time for another fabulous challenge

Well I didn't go for the obvious love themes type of card

I found a new place in the states that carries the Pion papers

and they also had these beautiful ones from the Scrap Cake.

They are so pretty and I have never heard of them!!!!

Good Afternoon!

Today I finally have my card for

Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge blog.

I was out of town and didn't get it in time so

Teddy Bo Tuesday ~ Beary Special.....

Good Morning!!!

Well I am back from my vacation to the

beach!! We had so much fun and I just never

want to come back! This time was harder as we

are so much farther away :(

Teddy Bo challenge...Alter it!

Good Morning!!

Tuesday started a new challenge over at

Teddy Bo and they want to see something altered.

I had some wooden plaques laying around and gave

one a go. It is for a baby girls room:

As soon as I seen this adorable image I knew what sentiment

I wanted to use! I printed it off the computer and had to

work around that.

I wanted to have stars, of course, but I got some new glass glitter

from Melissa Frances that I just had to use so hence the

pink stars! My daughter told me they are not realistic though! LOL

In the above picture you can see where I painted with distress crackle

paint again and the cracks came out much better! I just

can't get enough of it though! I wish they made the jars bigger!

Good Afternoon!!

I realize I am very late but I have been

packing for vacation! Trying to squeeze 2 weeks

worth of clothes for 4 girls into 2 suitcases is tough!!! LOL

Anyways before I go I had to put up some things I made with the

new Teddy Bo images!! They are always so cute and I can

never decide which to use!! This time wasn't bad as I needed

a boy card for school and a birthday card for my little cousin:

This adorable guy is School time Bo - Middles. Isn't he

just adorable!!!! I went with school colors and a star theme.

He was so much fun to color and if I have to make a male card

I always grab him!! He is too cute!

Here is the card for my cousin! I just adore the Fairy Bea's

so much and again I LOVE coloring them in!!

I went shabby chic with this one ~ SURPRISE! haha

The sentiment is Whimsy stamps and the stars are made from

Melissa Frances glitter glass. I covered up "Your wish will always come

true"'s little star wand with a bigger star to match!

Elisabeth Bell's Digi release hop......

Good Morning!!!

It is time for another release for Elisabeth Bell's Digi's!

This month she has two of them for you!!

"Sweet Tooth" and "Summer Window"

(By now you have seen both at Lil's post!)

If you came from Kiki's blog your on the right track if

not go back to the blog and start from the beginning.

I went with the Sweet Tooth image. It reminded me

of my girl's. We had a gumball machine when we were

little and my parents found it and gave it to them!

WOW do they love that thing! haha

Anyways I wanted to make my mom a little box filled

with gumballs as a thank you for helping me out with some things.

(My mom LOVES her gum! The girls always know who to ask!)

I didn't want to use a bunch of colors on paper due to the gumballs

so I just went over the box with distress crackle paint.

It didn't turn out quite like I was thinking ~ but my mom

isn't a frilly person so the plainer the better for her.

When I made it I used a transparency and the gumballs

showed through too much so I switched to the

frosted paper.

(It is not dirty it is just the sun shining off of it!)

Our First Ever Elphine House Challenge.......

Good Evening!!

Today is an exciting day as it is the start of

challenges for Elphine House!!!

(We will run every two weeks AND to start you can

use any Elisabeth Bell image you want!)

Right, now for the first challenge ~ USE LACE!

That is a nice and easy one! Everyone loves lace and

I think I use it on every card anyways! LOL

I have had this image since they came out waiting for

the perfect reason to use it! It is adorable and can be used

for anything!!! BUT when I seen that the new house across

the street had a sold sign on it ~ I knew what I would do!

I had this cardboard house for along time and it goes so nicely

with this image: (Warning I have a few pictures!)

To get started I painted the cardboard house 3 times. Once with

guesso and then twice with distress crackle paint. (You can't

see the cracks in the pic. but they are there!)

Here is a close-up of the tag I put in the box with

the muffins. The sentiment was computer generated.

Here is a close up of the house. I wanted a nice white house

with reds and pinks around it! (That is the challenge at

Shabby Tea Room) I also added a bunch of lace for this challenge.

I also added a ton of distress crackle paint and the snow-tx

to the flowers and butterflies.

Here is a side view but I couldn't get a good pic (?)

I also had to throw in some rusty bells and stars for a vintagey look.

Here is a top view as you can see the cracks a bit better.

I filled the box with these! They are called Muffins that taste like

donuts. If you like the cakey donuts these are perfect! They do taste

like them and they are a cinch to make.

Good Morning!!

It is time for a new challenge over at Teddy Bo and

Sweet Wishes....

Good Morning!

Today I have a card to share that uses

the adorable digi image by Elisabeth Bell called

Sweet Sundae!!!!

I needed a birthday card in a hurry and thought

this image was perfect!

She looks like my girls lately with these temps above 100

everyday! LOL They are getting their fill of cold treats that

is for sure!! And it is only going to get hotter!!

I love these shots the best as it shows the colors better!

I have a feeling the stand up shots get bleached out by

the sun! It is always shining and I have a hard time

getting a good shot! (BUT I am not complaining!)

Good Afternoon!!

The new challenge has started at

Belles and Whistles.

(Well it did on Monday I am just late!)

This challenge has been set by Audhild and she

wants to see flowers and pearls on your creation!

I have gone with this adorable Fairy called Fairy Dance!

Her dress was made with glittery tissue paper and as you

can see I have added a ton of stickles.

The flowers have a touch of distress crackle paint and

I have also added some stickles to them as well.

Well I decided to be a rebel and have a play with this

sweet Mo Manning image instead of doing DT work!! LOL

It has been forever since I could just make one for nothing

so that is what I did! (Now I have to hurry and get things

done that I was supposed to do!) But it was fun and I needed to do it!

Anyways here is Peaches:

I took several pictures as it was so sunny out and I couldn't get

a good one! The first one is trying to hide it a little from the sun and this

one is in the direct sun! Not sure what is better!

Here is a close-up of the sweet image! She was colored with distress

inks and twinkling h20's. The peach came out a little orangey! LOL

These shots I like the best because they are always the true colors

and for some reason I can capture that better this way!! LOL

Elisabeth Bell's World...Sketch

Good Morning!!!!

WOW I can't believe it has been a whole week since my last

post!!! These summer days are just flying by!!!

The girls had soccer camp this week and I spent alot of time

watching! (4 hours every morning!!) I thought it would be

a good time to catch up on things but once I started ~ I just

didn't want to leave!!! LOL It was co-ed and it was so funny to see

how they are playing against boys!!!!

Anyways today is the 25th so that means it is time for another challenge

over at Elisabeth Bell's World AND this time Lynda has

drawn up a fabulous sketch to work with!!!! I have used an

Elphine House image for my card! I think she is just adorable!

I have colored the image in with distress inks and twinkling h20's

and all the papers have been hit with some crackle paint!

I kept this one pretty simple ~ I have been having a hard time

getting all the flowers into the envelopes I have and didn't have

time to make the box. I need to keep better track of when I run out of

the clear envelopes as I can fit alot more into them!

The girls keep me so busy during the day that at night,

when I used to do it all, I just fall right asleep!! LOL

Today is the day for the new release for Elisabeth's Digi's!!!

Well I wanted to make a kind of sewing box to put pins,

buttons and what not so I made the easel card with a box under:

Not sure it turned out exactly as I wanted! These papers are gorgeous

but not sure if I can use the right colors with them!! LOL

I made the sentiment to match on the computer. The brackets and

lock are from Tim Holtz and I covered them with crackle paint.

I had to put this one up as well because I like the shot better! It

shows the color more.

The papers are IOD Creative Imaginations, flowers and lace

are all Wild Orchid Crafts and my pulls are just spacers

with brads that I painted with crackle paint.

Bling it on with Teddy Bo.....

Good morning!!!

It is time for a new challenge over at Teddy Bo!

This week we want to see your bling!!

I needed a birthday card and I just LOVE this image for them:

I have made a tag for the sentiment since I ran out of room:

I have used distressed inks and twinkling h20's to color

this adorable image in! For some more bling I went

over my sentiment with my glitter pen, I have added

glitter to my flowers and star and then added

some pearls to various spots. I also added stickles to the

wings and wand of Teddy Bea:

I also added some snow-tex to my flowers and the edges of

the card:

To finish it off I have used some cheesecloth under my image.

Not sure why I love this stuff so much but I find it hard not to reach for it

when making my cards!! LOL I have also entered my

card into the Stamp with Fun challenge ~ which is pearls and flowers.

Good Afternoon!!!

Today I have the pleasure of sharing another

card using a stamp from Elphine House!

(If you didn't see the spotlight on them on Elisabeth's

blog you need to go and read about it ~ so sweet! Make

sure to go back and read from the first day!)

Okay now onto my card! This sweet image is called

Apples for Mommy! I think he is so cute!!

(I have followed the challenge at Stamp Something and they

want to see something punched!)

I had this strip of paper left that I wanted to use from Fancy Pants

and it has blue and purple! Two colors I don't use that

much but thought they would look nice with a white background.

Everything was distressed again with my trusty crackle paint!

Here is a close up of the image ~ which is colored with distress ink

and twinking h2o's.

I have also added some cheesecloth. My punched items are

my Magnolia Flourish and the scalloped border which is PTI.

Ballerina Bea....

Good Morning!!!

I am excited about today!! The Tuesday

releases over at Teddy Bo have been released and they

are just adorable!!! Particularly some Teddy Bea's that

are ballerina's!! I had some fun coloring them in!

I have two cards to share. They are essentially the same image

but one is line art and the other has the sketch look.

I needed two birthday cards for the girls so I just made

very similar ones with the images.

Here is the first one ~ the line art:

I have played along with the sketch at Papertake Weekly for this card

and of course I used a ton of distress crackle paint and some snow-tex.

Here is a close up ~ as you can see I used a ton of glitter on

this card!! Some pink very fine glitter.

Here is the second card which uses the sketch image.

I have used the sketch from Crafting Life's Pieces for this one.

I choose to use pink glitter on her dress and some stickles on her

wings and pom poms.

I wanted to do a picture of the cards side by side but I had to use

them for the girls respective birthday parties as I made

them but here I put the colored images so you can see

the difference between the line art and sketch.

I had to do this to see what I liked better and I think

I prefer the sketch but the rest of my family disagreed with me

and they all went with the regular images!!!

What do you like better?? Just curious.

(I understand the image is slightly different but as far as

the look of it goes!)

Anyways here are all the images that came out today!!

Good Afternoon!!!

I am late putting this up as it has been such a

day already and we still have the other half!! LOL

Anyways today is the start of another challenge at

Belles and Whistles!!

It is Elise's turn to choose and she went with ribbon /lace or both!!!

That is a nice and easy one as most use them!!

I went with another fairy image ~ Fairy Fond Thoughts.

Well it was fun doing a more vintagey card than shabby chic for a change!

I remember all my cards used to look like this!! LOL Now

it looks funny without any white!!

I added some crackle dimension to the mushroom to give

it an aged look.

My image was colored with distress inks and I

have added some stickles to her wings. All the edges

have been inked with Vintage Photo.

Little Best Friends......

Good Morning!!!

I hope your day is as beautiful as it is here!

Supposed to hit 100 so the girls are out playing early!!

Anyways today I have a summery card using the adorable

image from Elisabeth Bell Digi collection ~ Little Best Friends.

It is the cutest image and I decided to use it for the 4th of July.

Aren't they just adorable! They remind me of my girls when they were younger!

I will have to try this out in my usual colors as I am not used

to these for me and it looks a little off! LOL But you can't do the

4th with pink and baby blue! The image was colored with distress inks

and twinkling h20's.

Elphine House DT card.......

Good Evening!!

I am so excited to be showcasing my first

Elphine House DT card! I get the pleasure of

showing Flowers for You. Isn't she just adorable!

AND you can use her for just about anything!

I have decided to make a tote for some seed packets. I used a kraft

bag and printed off a seed print I got from here. I thought

it worked perfect and it printed like a dream!! That will be the

little bag to place the packs of seeds. The sentiment is another

that I printed off the computer! It is on kraft and it had

some discoloration on it ~ fits my shabby style nicely!

Here is a close-up of my adorable image! She was colored with

distress inks and twinkling h2o's. I also added some dots with

my white gel pen!

Here is the packet and tag. Everything was covered with

Tim Holtz crackle distress paint in Picket Fence.

I just used a sentiment from CHF for the back. I can't leave a

link as they don't sell them anymore!!

Good Morning!

It is the 25th so that means a new challenge at

Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog!

is Anything goes so this is my card for that too!

I had some time to fit other challenges in my card as well!

I don't get to do that that often!! The challenge over at

ASFOS is things with wings, and the challenge at PTW is

Pale, Pretty Pastels!!!!

I took a shot of two different angles since I can't photograph these

types of cards that good!! I used distress inks and twinkling

h20's to color this adorable image in! The color for the dragonfly

is actually called dragonfly wings so how perfect was that!! LOL

Good Afternoon!

I am getting a late start today as I just came from

the girls end of the year awards ceremonies!!

They came away with honor roll awards and

Lauren got a character award as well :)

Now tonight my baby has her kindergarten graduation!

Everyone else seems excited about this but I am not!!! LOL

I want her to stay this way and NOT grow up!!!

Anyways I have a card to share using one of the new

TEDDY Bo and Co. images.

Gayle came out with quite a few frames images and

I thought I would use one and fill it in with a sentiment:

The sentiment is an anonymous poem I found on the computer

that I changed a couple words around to fit. I kept this one pretty

plain as it is from Kelsey for her dad and either of them like

frills at all! He likes reading alot so I threw in some old book pages.

Their are quite a few variations of the frames so if you want to take

a look go to the store. Their is also a few new Bo's and Bea's that are

just adorable!!! I can't wait to see these around blog land!!

I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday for this card!

Everything's just "Duckie"........

Good Morning!

Well it is the 20th of the month and you know

what that means ~ a new Elisabeth Bell digi release!!!

If you came from Kiki's blog then you know how cute

this month's is!! If not jump to Lynda's blog to start the

hop off right!

Well here is what I did with this adorable image:

While there are many occasions you could use this for I

went with the baby boy theme ~ just so I could make this ducky

decoration!! LOL Finally the perfect match! haha

This fits the Stamp Something challenge of Beachy colors.

The diecut for the ducky is from The Cutting Cafe. I just

printed it out on patterned paper and glued it to

the card. The template also came with an envie to make for the

card itself! Didn't have enough yellow paper so I went

with the blue. Normally I wouldn't add any lace, ribbon

or flowers to a boy card but I think with babies

it is alright!!

Here is a different shot ~ I tried to get the bubbles and

rubber ducky better. I went over them with some

liquid glass. First I outlined the bubbles with my gel

pen but that kinda back fired as they came out a little gray!

Good Morning!!

I hope your all having a great week so far!

I was so sick this week-end and am now

starting to get back to myself so my week is

definitely getting better!

Today is my posting day over at the Digi Bells blog and

I decided to make a card with I Love You This Much.

My friend, who lives at least a 1000 miles away, was having

a bad week so I thought this was the perfect image

to use to make a card for her.

The image was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.

I covered the edges again in distress crackle paint and added

just a little cheesecloth ~ peeking out from under my

torn paper. The sentiment is on a word window punch and

then on a nestability.

The pearl swirl is from Prima and the individual pearls are Melissa Frances.

The blue color is on the flower paper but I covered it up so

it looks like it doesn't match ~ but I promise it does! LOL

Teddy Bo Challenge....Bo Only!!!!!

Good Evening!

Today is the start of another challenge at

Teddy Bo & Co. and we want to see

Teddy Bo only!!! So that means creations with

just the fellow this week! It will be

easy with the adorable digi's from last week and

some more fabulous ones released tonight!

I went with a Father's Day card and this adorable Bo:
(This card is really flat but looks tilted ~ not sure why?)

This reminds me of my dad every year at camping! LOL He ALWAYS

brings his hammock and after dinner lays down for a little while!

I have used the fabulous sketch from Sketchy Colors.

I have just flipped it then inverted it to get it to go with my image.

Doesn't he look comfy????

I have paper pieced the hammock and my image was colored with distress

inks and twinkling h20's. The sentiment on the ticket is computer generated.

Shabby Fairy for the Sweet Stop......

Good Morning!!

Today I have another Belles and Whistles

Fairy card to show you! When I use them

I just want to use flowery papers and lots of

white distressing, texture stuff. LOL

I have followed the gorgeous sketch from the Sweet Stop.

( I just rotated the sketch 90 degrees)

The image was colored with distress inks and twinkling h20's.

I filled in her wings with my glitter pen.

Here is a shot to show the textures that I mean! I can't make

a card these days without the cheesecloth and then when I

add that I HAVE to do the others because they all go so

nicely together, I think.

In case you want to know how I do it I first give it a generous slather

of white Gesso. When that dries I slather on the Distress Crackle

Paint. When that dries I dot the Snow Tex on with a paintbrush.

I know it is to create the look of snow but I just love the texture

it gives and it doesn't look like snow if you don't have a wintery

image or scene!! Right? I added a bunch of it on the flower.

real snow cones and let the girls throw snowballs!! LOL
