...is a sketch by the talented Claudia! The option for the card was to make it colorful!! As soon as I seen that part I knew it was the perfect time to make a teacher's card with this very colorful paper I found!! It is a school paper pack from DCWV. I decided to go with the paper with the apples on it!! I don't usually do this much color but I had fun!! I am loving that I am actually enjoying leaving my comfort zone more and more!! The stamps are from Cornish Hertiage Farms. The set is called "Making the Grade." I also used cranberry cs from CTMH and ran it through the swiss dot cuttlebug folder.
I find that because that cs is whitecore that it often shows through so I just went over the top with the cranberry ink to cover up the core. Ribbon is cranberry but from JoAnn's. I added stickles to the tree to kind of match the glittery apples on the pp. Thanks Claudia for the beautiful sketch!! I will definitely use this again as I have to make one with a cute image!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great morning!!

Friday Sketchers challenge #3
...is a sketch by Caroline. I must admit I had a hard time with this sketch!! I have no images that are longer than they are taller so eventually I just flipped it. I decided to go with this K & Co. paper because I wanted that butterfly image to match the stamp I was going to use but changed my mind!! The butterfly is on the blue cirle paper and I just went around it instead of cutting through it. I then partially cut it's wings so I could give them a 3D look. The paper ribbon is also K & Co., flowers are prima and the sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Buttons are from S.E.I and the waxy flax is from CTMH. After I colored with prisma's and gamsol I went over her head wreath and pockets with stickles. I also added stickles to the flowers! The scallop on the bottom is the back of the card. This is the first card I actually added a decorated inside to and I love the look of it! (I forgot to take a picture!!) A thank you to Kristy for the image!!
Well thanks for stopping by and have a great week-end!!

I have been awarded this by Debbie at Crafting Fairy!!! I feel so honored to be given this award by her as her creations are beautiful!!! Thank you so much!!
It is really hard to pick just three people for this award. I would love to give it to Marlene and Fran but I see they have already received it from others but if they hadn't I would totally give it to them!! (These girls are who inspired me to attempt all the "international" challenges - so thank you - I have soo much fun doing them!!)
With that being said I will have to go with:
1) Korin for getting me involved in papercrafting and talking me into blogging!! Besides the fact that she truly is an inspiration!!!
2)Sophia at Moonlight Inker because that is the first place I seen Hanglar images and had to research International blogs!! And the fact that her cards are amazing!!
3)Claudia at Pretty Pressings for just being so creative and talented!!
So thanks Debbie for the beautiful award and thanks to the other girls for there inspiration!!!
Cute Card Thursdays #11
No theme today at CCT but we got a beautiful sketch from Katarina!!! I had to make a quick card for a Congratulations for a cousin's promotion so this is what I came up with!! It's a little cute but not altogether cute!! Oh well! I like the result although I am not fond of purple!! Paper is prima as is the flower, sentiment is CHF and the round sentiment is from a RAK. I hope everyone is having a lovely thursday!! I have to get all my "duties" done early because today is the last Grey's Anatomy til the fall!! I feel we got ripped off because of the writer's strike it was not on for months but they are still ending it at the normal time!! That is BS! (LOL) Oh well life goes on!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!!!

Papertake Sketch #3 by Katarina
I made time to make another card for another nephew who is also turning 11. This time I used the sketch from Papertake and it is by the talented Katarina. Again I used a Sugar Nellie stamp for my main image and the wood sign is a Magnolia stamp. The papers are MME, sentiments are Studio G, brads are Heidi Grace and the fish clip was from a RAK. I ran the long panel throught the cuttlebug and distressed it with distress inks. I have to make good use of them since I soo cannot color with them!! I distressed all the edges with my Basic Grey distressing tools.
I had to do a couple because of end of year field trips and picnics. I don't know when I will have time again to make cards!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!!!
Ismaki #20
The sketch at Ismaki today was totally different for me!! We had to make a card in the shape of a circle and the option was to leave out patterned paper!! At first I was worried I wouldn't think of anything but this card came together faster than most cards I do!! And I like the look of it!! I had to make a card for my nephews 11th b-day and he is a wanna-be skater boy so I thought this was perfect. I went with blue and green because those are his favorite and I threw in orange just because I have been seeing alot of this combo lately!! I used all CTMH cardstock which I love because it is white core and when you sand it gives that distressed look!! I used a Sugar Nellie stamp, stars are from a punch, buttons are from my stash and I printed the sentiment and number off the computer!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!
