Good Afternoon or evening depending on where you are! I made this card last night and just remembered I was waiting until this morning to get a good picture! That is what happens when there is a day off of school!! haha
I have created this card using the fabulous sketch from the Whiff of Joy challenge blog and it just so happens that it fits the bill at Color Create as well!! I threw in some brown though ~ hope that is alright! I just adore this snowmen from WOj! They are just adorable!! I just got my new order in the mail so I will be showing some of them soon! Those characters from Norma are even cuter in real life! I wish I would have gotten more than 2!
Here is a close up of my tag: I found some cool silver magic mesh at a Mennonite Stamp store last week while shopping with Korin so I had to try it out on this card!

Paper: Basic Grey
Inks: Distress Inks and Twinkling H20's

My Belles and Whistles News.......

Belles and Whistles had a guest DT call last month and of course I applied!! AND GUESS WHAT????? I was picked!!! I am so excited!! All those ladies seem so nice and I am very excited about creating with the new gorgeous images!! I am such a big fan of Elisabeth Bell so this is just a dream for me!!
For the occasion I have created a card with Mmm! Yes Please!Which is from the Fall release. I think this image is so cute and it was a pleasure to color up!(Sorry for the unclear pic though the weather here is so dark and dreary!) I have used some more pretty Bo Bunny papers and have paper pieced her towel and tablecloth. Since the topic was cooking I wanted to throw a cinnamon stick on it as well! Now my card smells so good too!!! LOL

I am still smiling ear to ear and am thinking of what I will do with the images when I get them!! I hope I don't disappoint!! COngrats also to Erin and Nikki who also made the team for the next 2 months with me!!! Thanks again Summer and DT ladies for giving me a chance!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a fabulous night!! I know I will as my man Patrick Jane is on tonight!! (The Mentalist!) I loved the show last season but he seems to be a little stuck on himself this season no?? Last season I thought he was so cute and funny! Oh well I will still watch!! LOL

Sugar Bowl *23* ~ Judy's Sketch...

Good Morning! This week at the Sugar Bowl it was Judy's turn to create the sketch and it is fabulous!! She also choose to have a "thankful" theme. It doesn't have to be a thanksgiving card either just anything having to do with beind thankful!
I made a thank you card and went with fall colors.I just love this cute little girl and these are the images that first brought me to Sugar Nellie!
I thought with all the colors that I would keep the embellies light and went with just pearls. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the flowers and leaves are from Prima. I went over the leaves with some walnut stain crackle distress paints.

The prize for this week's challenge is a surprise one but I am sure it is fabulous ~ how can it not be!! haha Make sure to see the DT cards as they are fabulous!! I always love the array of cards made with the same sketch and theme!

Thanks for stopping by and I may be back later with a card and some great news!! (For me anyway LOL)
Have a great morning!!

La La Land Weekly Challenge #11.......

Welcome to another GREAT La La Weekly Challenge! This week Kim has challenged us to use one of her favorite colors : PINK! She would love to see some PINK. Your project does not have to be all pink. As long as it mostly pink, that's fine. I have decided to go with Christmas dress Rosie ~ as she would be adorable in pink!The Eskimo Kisses paper from Basic Grey were perfect for this challenge! I also added alot of pink stickles and a couple pink rhinestones. I have also used my new Martha Stewart punch to make my line across. I made two and just place one on the other to get it identical on both sides!

Congrats to the winners of last week and this week we have another adorable stamo for one lucky winner! The design team will select their top 3 favorites entries. The one with the most votes gets Down the Slopes Rosie!!!!

Well thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful day wherever you are!!

A Spoonful of Sugar.....

Afternoon! I finally got a card done! I need to get my butt in gear with Christmas cards and seen this beautiful sketch from Sonja at A Spoonful and just had to do it! Rachel was practicing her ABC's online so I had some time to play! I just had to put the sentiment and embellishment on the opposite side to work with my image. I just adore this image from last year's Sarah Kay christmas stamps. It is the easiest to color as well!! I paper pieced the music sheets and inked the edges with tea dye distress ink. The glittery leaf is a decoration I got from Mike's and the lace is from the Flower and Craft Warehouse. I just got a bunch of papers as well! Love these ones from Making Memories. The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms. I also added some jingle bells for holly berries.
I just might make a few of these to get some more cards crossed off my list!! LOL I can't believe that it is November already!!!

Well thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you are all having a great day!! I am off to play outside a bit! The weather here is beautiful so I should get some more raking done :)

Good Morning! It is time for another challenge at La La Land and the talented Lisa is our host this week!! She would love to see some ribbon on your card! Easy peasy for most as almost everyone adds ribbon all the time!! I admit I usually stick to twine and a button as I am the worst at making bows!! LOL
I have used Pirate Lala for my card!! I think this is the last of the Halloween cards now I need to really get going on the Christmas ones. I used a sketch from Friday Sketchers. It is a couple weeks old though ~ didn't get it finished in time!! That is par for me though! LOL

Paper: MME
Inks: Distress inks, twinkling h20's and glitter pen
Accessories: lace ~ Fabric Barn, ribbon ~ Mike's, twine and button ~ stash and rub-on ~ Melissa Frances

Hello!!!

Hello!! Sorry I have been so quiet but I am having the worst sinus headaches and I can't look at the computer screen without feeling dizzy and nausea.

But I did wanted to pop on and let everyone know that the Ladybug and Friends images from Elisabeth Bell are available at Quixotic Paperie! I have been wanting to order them directly from Ladybug and Friends but the shipping was $15.00!!! But I just ordered mine from Elaine and the shipping was only $3.50 from the U.K!!
Your should hurry as I am sure they will be sold out fast!!!
Hopefully I will feel better in the next few days and get something created!! I do have my La La Land's Weekly Wednesday Challenge card for tomorrow though so don't forget to stop by and see what the new challenge is!!!

Sugar Bowl *22*

Good Morning!! This week I have made the sketch over at the Sugar Bowl!! I really hope you enjoy it! I have flipped the sketch for my card!! LOL I know but I usually make a card first and take the sketch from there but I needed to get one done quick!
Anyways here is my card:My card is pretty plain this week but I just adore this image and the paper that I didn't want to take it over with anything else! This image reminds me more of Christmas than fall so I have created a Christmas card with it! I used some crackle glaze on the kraft paper for a more vintagey look.
Be sure to go and visit the rest of the DT cards as they are so pretty!! I know I say this every week but I am always blown away by the beautiful cards!! Oh and the prize is Leanne's new Christmas Annie stamps!! Whohoo ~ did you see them?? They are adorable!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!! I am really enjoying this warm wave we are having!! It has been beautiful the past 3 days and I hope it lasts for at least a little while! It is much nicer to rake in the high 60's than the cold blowy low 50's!! lol

Witch Crossing....

Good Morning today is our 9th challenge at La La Land!! I can't believe how time flies!! Anyways today's challenge was set by Jane and she chose sparkle!!
I have decided to make another Halloween card with the challenge!This is Witch on the broom Rosie. It is hard to tell in the picture but she does sparkle irl! I used my glitter pen to go around her cape. Also I added glitter to my flowers and used a glitter button. To get my moon I just punched out a circle and put it on the paper and sponged around it with black soot!

Paper: Making Memories
Inks: Distress inks
Accessories: ribbon and button ~ Mike's, lace ~ Fabric Barn, sentiment ~ Rusty Pickle, flowers ~ Prima's

Make sure to stop and see the rest of the DT cards ~ they are so pretty and you get more peeks of the new Christmas stamps!! This is an easy challenge since everyone likes sparkle so don't forget to play along! YOu can use any image that you want!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a great day! I have all the kids home again today so hopefully they take naps and I can get an hour to play!

BOO.....

Good Afternoon!! Didn't plan on making anything today and had a nice day planned but sick kiddos put a damper on those plans! I was planning on meeting with Korin today as I haven't seen her in months and as usual something comes up and it doesn't happen!! LOL Such is life!

Anyways I have created a card/box with this adorable image from Belles and Whistles. She is adorable and I just couldn't not make a cute and pretty card with it! I have made this for a few challenges as, obviously, halloween is a big theme with challenges this week! The challenge at ROP is nearly Halloween and they want to see a card/invitation or treat bag. I bought some of this blackberry buckle candy corn specifically for this image because I wanted to use purple. I had a template for a card folder so instead of cards on the inside I put in a little bag of the candy.

The themes at Stamp with fun and Cute Card Thursday are also for halloween as well! There are probably more but I made it with these in mind!

Paper: Bo Bunny
Inks: Distress inks and twinkling h20's
Accessories: button and twine ~ stash, flowers and pearls ~ Prima, pumpkin on inside ~ cuttlebug, circle stamp ~ PTI and Boo is from an SU set!

Well thanks so much for stopping by and leaving such nice comments!! I really appreciate it!! I hope you are all having a wonderful day! I have to go and check on my angels now! I cannot believe that 2 out of the 3 are taking a nap! That hasn't happened in like 5 years!! LOL

Friends are the true gift.......

I am late today in posting as I couldn't get a good picture!! It is too sunny!! BUT I am NOT complaining! After all the rain and dark skies we had last week it is fabulous!!!
My card is based on the sketch from Friday Sketchers. I just tipped it on it's side. I got one more new Stampavie image that I wanted to use and it fit the sketch better this way! I wanted to make it a vintage tag so I really rubbed it with Vintage ink ~ distress ink. Then I thought the image might be too cute so I wanted to rough that up a bit as well!! LOL So the cracked glass technique came to mind and I really like the way it looks! I will of course have to make another card with this cute image and not make it distressed.
I added some pearl and rhinestone flourishes on it as well as the challenge at Stamp Something is Bling it somethings.

Paper: Webster's Pages
Inks: Distress Inks
Accessories: Pearl flourish ~ Prima, Sentiment ~ Papertrey Ink

Yesterday was finally a no rain day so we had alot of yard work to get to. As you can see from this photo the girls were ready to rake!!!But don't let the photo fool you!! haha I did all the raking and they actually did this all day!! LOL

Well thanks so much for stopping by! We have alot of outdoor fall stuff to do since last week was a wash! Rachel and I are headed out to go apple picking and then back home to Charlie an apple pie! Have a great day!!!

SOL with Marlene.....

Good Afternoon! Yes this is my second card but I wanted to get it up today!! LOL A couple nights ago Marlene gave out some measurements to make a card, then last night every 5 minutes she gave a clue as to how to put the card together!!
It was so fun! It came together without much stress at all!! haha My problem was that I would do the first measurement in cm but then forget and do the second in inches!! (Because that is what we use here in the states). At one point, before I realized what I did, I was actually talking to Marlene telling her that I didn't like the layout and it didn't look right!!! haha (Sorry Marlene!! LOL) But then I quickly realized what I did and it was fixed right away!! lol
Anyways here is my version of the SOL:
These are the same papers as in my first card. I read her instructions as I was making the first card so I just decided to use the same papers. I am normally a stickler for the red and green for Christmas but these papers were really irrestible and work great with the cuter images! This is from Stampavie. I think they are adorable! I am not sure my card is that Christmassy but I think it is cute anyway!! LOL

Well thanks again so much Marlene for the fun afternoon yesterday!! I was pleasantly surprised when she showed her card and mine looked similar!! I am usually a visual person so it was a fabulous challenge for me!!
Have a great night!!!
Well thanks again for playing along in the blog hop and I hope you had fun!

Joy to the World....

Good Morning! WOW I have posted a card everyday this week so far! I am on a roll! haha. I will also be posting a card later that I did for Marlene's SOL last night. It was so fun and neat to see the card come together so quickly!

Anyways here is my card ~ it is following the sketch from Basic Grey and I have added a button and a bow for the Penny Black challenge. It is supposedd to be buttons and bows so not sure if one of each is allowed! LOL I just love this image and thought of it as soon as I received this paper! The colors are so pretty and the papers are fun too!! Joy to the World Sentiment is from CTMH.
I think I might add some snow to the ground as it looks kinda empty! I was going to put shadow marks but thought it would look funny as it is obvious she is in snow! LOL

Paper: Basic Grey ~ Eskimo kisses
inks: Distress inks, glitter pen
Accessories: button and twine ~ stash, flat back pearls ~ can't remember, snowflakes ~ Alpha Stamps, flower ~ Prima

Well thanks so much for stopping and leaving your nice comments ~ I really appreciate reading them!! Have a great day!!

Mojo Monday and the winner of my candy.......

Good Morning!! Wow it is pretty chilly out there today!! Fall is definitely in full force!

Anyways here is a card I have made for Mojo Monday. It has been awhile since I have played along! Every year I make simpler cards for my hubby’s supervisors and co workers for Christmas. This sketch was perfect and I think I am going to make 20 of these babies…..
It was really simple to put together and this cute snowman only took about
5 minutes to color!! It is a Plum Purdy stamp and I bought it last year after the season at a discount. I see she has more up for this year!
I did a curvy sentiment like the ones I have been seeing lately but it is not
really noticeable in this picture! The sentiment and script text is from Fancy Pants. Paper is from K & Co.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have decided to draw the winner of my candy a little early as no one else has
Been on it for a couple days!! One thing I have learned is that people from all over
wish there was more time to just enjoy others company and they wish people were
more polite! It seems to be that way across the globe!!!
Anyways Rach picked a number out of a bowl and it was lucky #13!!
And that was……..
